Sponsorships

One Foundation

A massive THANK YOU to One Foundation for their continued support of our kura. Over the last few years One Foundation's generous sponsorship has purchased shade sails for over our sandpit area, developed a large bark area with shade sail, a 12-seater van, digital devices with secure storage, kapa haka uniforms, and numerous texts for our structured literacy programme.

One Foundation's sponsorship has allowed us to keep ahead of curriculum updates including the new digital technologies curriculum and to fully implement our new structured literacy programme. Having a new van ensures our tamariki and staff attend EOTC and sporting events in a modern and safe vehicle. Our kapa haka roopu looked stunning on stage during the Waihi Matariki Concert. Thank you again, One Foundation.

Oceana Gold Waihi

An ongoing commitment from OceanaGold Waihi is an annual donation to each school. This is always well received. This year we were fortunate to receive additional funding. This funding supports us to have smaller class sizes in Māori Medium and English Medium classes. This is always a challenge as Government funding doesn’t take into account the dual medium nature of our kura. Thank you Oceana for your support.

Duffy Books In Homes

Duffy Books in Homes’ vision is to inspire a love of books in children so they become adults who inspire a love of reading. Duffy Books in Homes achieve this vision by creating and enhancing a desire for children to read though book ownership. This is developed by an interlinked network of people and organisations to collaborate on how to best meet the needs of students and their communities.

Our tamariki and whānau love our special Duffy assemblies during which time we acknowledge our Wahine Toa (strong women); special Dudes, amazing grandparents and other role models. These assemblies are also a wonderful opportunity to present our students with their new books which they absolutely love. Thank you Duffy Books in Homes for all you do to make this happen.

Alterno Foundation

Alterno is a privately funded charitable foundation. Alterno supports projects and people that have the potential, energy, & drive plus a great plan to improve their community in their main areas of interest which are health, fitness, nutrition, & education. Alterno is committed to supporting people & organisations who are working towards making our community, & that means New Zealand, a better place to live, work & play.

We value Alterno Foundations support of our kura by their ongoing sponsorship of our Duffy Books in Homes Programme which allows our tamariki to receive several new books every year. Thank you Alterno Foundation.

Lions Club Waihi

A huge thank you to our wonderful Waihi Lions Club. Waihi Lions Club proudly serves the Waihi Community. We have received support in a variety of ways over the last few years; helping to run our Scrap Metal Drive, and financial support of various projects. This year we received support for our Year 5&6 Camp, and towards our Matariki Celebration of Learning Light Festival. As always, we are thankful for your ongoing support.
