Community Consultation
It is that time again in our biannual calendar to consult with whānau on what is important to them & therefore worth focusing on. This gives us good information to develop our strategic & annual plans for 2023 & beyond.
You will receive your consultation via Hero as a Google Form by early next week (sorry, there were a few delays this week). If you would prefer a paper copy, please contact the school. We ask that you return this by Monday, 12th September.

New School Logo
We are excited to share our new school logo with you which we have developed together with Mark Samson from The Design Shed, Waihi. Earlier this year we surveyed our students, whānau & staff to find out what symbols, landmarks, images best represent our kura. There were differing views as to what our logo should include as is often the case when a community is surveyed. However, there were strong common threads from the responses which included the landmarks of Pukewa, Mangatoetoe stream (which runs along the ngāhere at the bottom of our field) & runs into the Ohinemuri River, the Pumphouse, & the fern & koru. A group will be established to express the message behind each aspect of our logo. We are able to change the colours as required for different purposes.

Positive Behaviour for Learning
This week our focus continues to be Protect. When looking at our behaviour data we note a small spike in behaviour incidents at break times. Our tamariki are helping with solutions for these times that will support them to play well together.
