As they participate in the programme they develop coordination, cognitive functioning, social and problem-solving skills and grow their short term auditory sequential memory, which helps them with their classroom learning. The programme also develops their hand-eye balance and physical fitness.

In the sandpit. They were comparing sizes of the containers, deciding which would hold the most water. They called on each other to help carry the heavy loads. These students were using comparative language, turn taking, negotiating and sharing ideas.
Staff will continue to provide opportunities for collaborative play across the junior school and foster their interest in measurement and quantity.
