Room 2's Rongoā garden
Our inquiry during week 1 was looking at what a Rongoā Garden is and what kind of plants we want to plant in our RongOā Garden.
Room 2 found out that a Rongoā Garden is a garden made of plants with healing properties. We found out that lots of plants, especially herbs, are very safe to eat and have healing properties that have been used in traditional Māori medicine.
After all of our research we chose some plants we thought would work in our class garden and went to work at planting them.

Room 2 Treaty:
Today Room 2 read the Tree Hut Treaty. It was about a group of children who built a tree hut and had some disagreements about the rules of the tree hut. The children decided to make a treaty, which are rules or promises that everyone agrees to abide by. After reading the story Room 2 came up with a list of promises that we will use in our class. We all signed our Treaty to show that we agree to follow the rules/promises in our classroom.
